Utility Sink & Cabinet Installation
A durable place for the dirty work.
Upgrade the “Slop Sink.”
For many homes, the utility sink is a wobbly plastic tub on metal legs, stained with paint and lurking in the corner of the garage or basement. It gets the job done, but it’s an eyesore and offers zero storage.
At HomeBase, we build utility stations that are as tough as they are good-looking. We replace those flimsy tubs with deep, stainless steel or composite basins set into sturdy custom cabinetry. It’s the perfect spot for washing paint brushes, potting plants, scrubbing sports gear, or giving the dog a bath—without ruining your kitchen.
Our Utility Features:
- Deep Basin Sinks: Stainless steel or heavy-duty composite for soaking large items.
- Durable Cabinetry: Moisture-resistant finishes that stand up to garage or laundry environments.
- Pull-Down Faucets: Industrial-style sprayers for easy bucket filling and cleanup.
- Built-in Storage: Cabinets to hide cleaning supplies, fertilizers, and tools.
Get a sink that works as hard as you do. Let’s clean up your utility space.
Frequently Asked Questions about Utility Sinks
Can you install a sink in my garage?
If your garage is already plumbed for water (many have a spigot or an existing utility loop), then yes, absolutely. If there is no water line present, we can coordinate with a licensed plumber to run the necessary lines before we build the cabinetry.
What is the best material for a utility sink?
We recommend Stainless Steel or Granite Composite. Unlike the old plastic tubs which stain and scratch easily, these materials are incredibly durable, heat resistant, and easy to clean—even after washing out paint brushes or oily parts.
Can you build a dog washing station?
Yes! We frequently design “low-profile” utility stations specifically for pet washing. This involves raising the cabinet slightly or installing a specialized tiled basin with a handheld sprayer so you can wash your pup without breaking your back.
